Groenlo, June 2011 – Nedap introduces a Twitter application for the PowerRouter. This feature enables the owner of a PowerRouter to send tweets with information about the PowerRouter’s activities. With this feature, people get the opportunity to experience, share and keep up with the PowerRouter’s world of renewable energy.
The Twitter functionality enables the owner of a PowerRouter to share all experiences with this inverter with integrated power management system and spread the news in an imaginative way. Connected to the myPowerRouter.com web portal, the PowerRouter sends tweets about activities such as the daily generated solar energy and the owner’s savings on energy costs while using self-generated energy. The use of renewable energy systems is growing in importance. By sending and reading PowerRouter tweets, renewable energy enthusiasts have the possibility to share their involvement with their social network.
The Twitter application is part of the PowerRouter’s web portal: myPowerRouter.com. If the PowerRouter is connected to the Internet, the system can be remotely monitored and managed through this web portal. The portal collects detailed system information, such as revenue, energy balance and solar yield, and is accessible from any Internet connected computer or mobile device. For installers, the portal’s utility goes beyond monitoring and management. It is possible to remotely install new firmware and perform system updates, so that the number of service visits can be reduced to a minimum.
